1. Background:
The Right to Life Human Rights Centre is undertaking the PUJA Project, aimed at building public support for justice and accountability processes across ethnic divides in Sri Lanka. We seek a skilled and passionate Content Creator to develop and produce high-quality communication materials and multimedia content aligned with the project’s objectives.
2. Responsibilities:
• Research and Information Gathering:
o Conduct in-depth research on Transitional Justice concepts, initiatives, and best practices, focusing on Sri Lanka’s context.
o Analyze and review existing communication materials related to Transitional Justice in Sri Lanka.
o Stay updated on current developments and trends in Sri Lankan Transitional Justice processes.
• Target Person Engagement:
o Coordinate with target persons and stakeholders to understand their needs, experiences, and perspectives on justice and accountability.
o Assist in identifying and engaging diverse target persons for various project activities.
o Support the delivery of resources and information to target persons.
• Storytelling and Content Creation:
o Conduct individual and group interviews with target persons to capture their stories and experiences related to Transitional Justice.
o Develop and produce compelling storytelling videos that showcase the lived experiences of target persons, with sensitivity and cultural appropriateness.
o Create engaging text-based stories and multimedia content (infographics, social media posts, etc.) for various communication channels, tailoring content to diverse audiences.
o Ensure all content is accurate, culturally appropriate, do-no-harm and aligned with the project’s messaging.
• Education and Outreach:
o Assist in organizing and supporting educational and publicity events on Transitional Justice for diverse audiences across Sri Lanka.
o Develop and disseminate promotional materials for events and workshops.
o Contribute to social media engagement and online content creation for the project, promoting public awareness and dialogue on Transitional Justice.
• Monitoring and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records and documents related to content creation activities.
o Track progress towards achieving communication and outreach targets.
o Prepare regular reports and updates for the project management team, analyzing content performance and audience engagement.
• Additional Responsibilities:
o Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager/Team Leader.
o Maintain a professional and collaborative work ethic.
o Demonstrate strong commitment to the project’s objectives of promoting justice and accountability in Sri Lanka.
3. Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Filmmaking, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience in content creation, video production, and storytelling, preferably focused on social justice issues.
• Strong research and writing skills, with excellent command of the English language.
• Excellent interviewing and communication skills, with sensitivity and cultural awareness.
• Experience working with diverse communities and marginalized groups.
• Understanding of Transitional Justice principles and practices, particularly in the Sri Lankan context.
• Proficiency in Tami language is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong commitment to human rights and social justice.

o Assist in developing and refining the content strategy for all PUJA communication channels, including websites, social media, print materials, and events.
o Define content requirements, formats, and timelines for various deliverables.
o Conduct research on target audiences and tailor content accordingly.
o Stay updated on trends and best practices in content creation and Transitional Justice communication.
• Content Analysis and Review:
o Analyze and evaluate existing content related to Transitional Justice in Sri Lanka, identifying best practices and potential gaps.
o Review and provide constructive feedback on all content created by Content Creators and other project personnel.
o Maintain consistency of voice, tone, and messaging across all PUJA communication materials.
• Data and Performance Monitoring:
o Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for various content formats and channels (e.g., website traffic, social media engagement, reach).
o Prepare regular reports on content performance and audience engagement, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing content strategies.
o Conduct research and provide insights on audience demographics, preferences, and online behavior.
• Collaboration and Support:
o Maintain clear communication with the Project Manager and other stakeholders, offering valuable input and recommendations.
o Provide guidance and support to Content Creators on research, data analysis, and writing techniques.
o Collaborate with designers, translators, and other project personnel to ensure high-quality and culturally sensitive content.
• Additional Responsibilities:
o Assist in organizing and managing project documents and data.

• Experience working with data and reporting on performance metrics.
• Understanding of Transitional Justice principles and practices, preferably in the Sri Lankan context.
• Proficiency in English and Sinhala is required; Tamil fluency is desirable.
