Imaduwa Human Rights First Aid Center had its grand opening recently, with important figures like Mr. Philip Dissanayake from the Right to Life Human Rights Center and Mr. Dulan Dasanayake, the Legal Director, joining in. Also present were Mr. Ajith Jayasinghe, the Project Manager, and Mr. Rehan Jayawickrama, the former Mayor of Weligama Municipal Council.
Mr. Indula Wijesekera, who’s coordinating the center, and other human rights defenders also attended the ceremony. The center’s goal is to provide free legal help to people dealing with human rights violations and similar issues in the area.
