On 31st of October, the Hambantota District Human Rights First Aid Center organized a human rights education workshop for human rights activists in the Hambantota district. The workshop was attended by 25 human rights activists and focused on common human rights issues in the area and the measures to be taken. Following the workshop, a legal clinic was held that afternoon to provide legal advice to victims who had face to human rights violations. Nearly 15 victims were present for legal clinic, the majority of whom were family members of the disappeared. After the legal clinic there was an education program for the victims. The program was held on the scope of human rights education curriculum.
