The Right to Life Human Rights Centre recently organized a successful Centre Evaluation and Legal Education Program, conducted at the Gampaha Human Rights First Aid Centre (HRFAC). This initiative brought together dedicated Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) to assess progress and enhance their legal expertise, marking another significant step in strengthening their capacity to safeguard human rights and promote justice.
During the program, participants reflected on their activities over the past year, celebrating successes while identifying areas for improvement. HRDs were also provided with updated knowledge on Anti-Corruption Laws, equipping them with legal tools to combat injustice more effectively. Additionally, a comprehensive training session was conducted to refresh and enhance their expertise in supporting victims of human rights violations.
The event reinforced the commitment and resilience of HRDs in their mission to uphold human dignity and fundamental rights. By equipping defenders with crucial knowledge and skills, the HRFAC continues to play a vital role in empowering communities and ensuring justice prevails.
As human rights challenges persist, initiatives like these remain essential in building a just and equitable society. The dedication of HRDs in Gampaha serves as an inspiration to all working toward the protection and promotion of human rights across Sri Lanka.
